About Me
Based in Kansas City, Missouri, I have been in the heart of the local live event scene since moving here in 2018. Entering the scene as an amateur working off instinct and intuition, I refined and expanded my knowledge under the teachings of local legend Bill Crain and his son Will. With the influences of their distinct, generational views and approaches to audio engineering, I have created an incredibly versatile skillset built around a creative core.
Since April of 2022, I have held the Coordinator, Facility Presentation position for T-Mobile Center in downtown Kansas City. I am part of a four-man team that is responsible for all of the audio visual needs of our entire building. This includes in-house production for all sporting and private events, as well as content creation for all our digital signage and in-house TV channels. My personal responsibilities are to oversee and manage all audio systems, assist in setting all broadcast equipment for sports and private events, help external broadcast companies tie in with our building, and manage our event day crew.
Although the majority of my experience comes from the live event industry, my true skills reside in the post-production scene. The studio setting is where my skillset was born and where my painstaking attention to detail really shines. All of my training took place at BRC Audio Productions, which is where the majority of my portfolio was made.
I haven’t always been behind the faders though. I started my life as a musician. From the moment I picked up the saxophone in the 5th grade, I knew there was no path other than music. Now having been a saxophonist for 20 years, a bassist and drummer for 17, and a keyboardist for 11, my perspective from the musician’s point of view is even more vast than my view as an engineer. I studied Music Education for 3 years before making the change to Audio Engineering, where I found my true calling.
